For Organisations

We welcome invitation to events that allows us to advocate for accurate rabbit care and responsible pet ownership. We can:

  • conduct ‘show and tell’ workshops for children (at least 6 and above) and adults in your compound.
  • put up educational booths sharing information on rabbit care as well as our rescue activities.
  • participate in fundraising projects in closed-door events
  • showcase our rescued rabbits in your compound provided the space is indoor, quiet and well-ventilated.

As Bunny Wonderland has a small team of volunteers who are also working professionals, we may not be able to assist in all requests. However, if we do commit, we will do our very best to be a voice for our rescued rabbits. Do drop us a message to get connected!

My class was embarking on an inquiry project about rabbits. I was looking for someone who has rabbits so that the children can have a hands-on touch and feel session, as well as know the proper way to take care of rabbits and be well informed about the lifestyle of rabbits.

I was glad to find Bunny Wonderland from a friend who adopted her rabbit from there. I emailed Bunny Wonderland and one of the volunteers, Jonathan, got back to me promptly. He asked when I needed the volunteer to come down to the preschool I’m working at. I asked if they could come in a week’s time. He asked if I can postpone it to December as the volunteer is actually working at a preschool as a principal. I was surprised! But I told him that it is quite difficult because our inquiry only lasts for two weeks. Guess what, Jonathan contacted the volunteer, Ms Catherine, and she managed to find a slot for me! She came one week later. I was amazed by her promptness and availability. I was also amazed by the slides she prepared for her presentation on the rabbits. She talked about several things about the rabbits which surprised us. For instance, rabbits don’t eat carrots as staple food as it causes them diarrhea! The children greatly enjoyed getting to feed and touch the rabbits and it was truly an amazing experience for them. The children also prepared questions for Ms Catherine and she managed to answer all of them!

Thank you, Bunny Wonderland, Jonathan and Ms Catherine, for this amazing workshop

Review by Ms Jessica Tan, English preschool teacher, NTUC My First Skool, Braddell Heights Community Hub

Last month, we were invited to Tanjong Katong Secondary School to talk about rabbit care and the issue of abandonment. Our volunteers, Lynne and Xin Ying, were joined by their fluffy assistants, Happy and Chiquita. Together, they spent 2 hours with teacher Miss Nani and her secondary 2 students.

As an animal lover, Miss Nani has pets since young. She realized that rabbit care is very misunderstood and hope to guide her students to be good pet owners. Through her faciliation, the students were very attentive through our talk. They thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with Happy and Chiquita.

At the end of the session, they presented a donation which they raised through their own effort. We were very touched by their love for our animals. We will like to thank Miss Nani and her students for the opportunity to share our love for the animals. For a better tomorrow, starts from our students today!

OCT 24 RABBIT CARE TALK AT TKSS

7 March 19, our adopter Patricia brought her rescued rabbit Darling to MOE Kindergarten @ Punggol View. She was invited by teacher Miss Chen who hope to guide her students on learning about responsible care for a pet rabbit. The session was conducted in Chinese, over 2 sessions and and attended by over 40 students.

To assist Patricia, we shared our educational material to assist her in her preparation. She also brought along items such as Darling’s litterbox, food and toys to demonstrate the right tools to care for a rabbit. Of course, the star of the show was Darling and though she was nervous, she gradually eased in. In the second session, she was eating, hopping and relaxing around the students.

As an educator, Patricia understood the importance of inculcating responsible pet ownership in our students from young. With our support, she was able to conduct the session on her own. We hope to share her experience to inspire more animal lovers to do the same. We will definitely offer our support to help the children in your community. Do contact us and let’s work together to guide our children and help the rabbits!

    MOE KINDERGARTEN @ PUNGGOL VIEW

Yesterday, our volunteers, Patricia & Yin Ling, were invited to an Easter Party at Mindchamps @ Raffles Town Club. It was a big crowd with 6 classes of preschoolers ranging from 3-6 years old. Their teachers did a fantastic job facilitating the session and despite their young age, the children listened closely to Patricia and Yinling on the importance of proper rabbit care (Yes! Say ‘NO’ to carrots!).

After the talk, each class took turns to interact with Patricia’s adopted rabbit, Darling 灰灰. The children sat in a semi-circle as they watched her roamed in the given space. This is her 2nd time at a preschool so she was quite comfortable with the surroundings. She will hop around the children and into her litterbox when she’s tired. She interacted more with the older group who were calmer in nature. Oh what a diva!

It was a fun-filled session as both teachers and children thoroughly enjoyed learning about our rabbits. We sincerely thank the teachers at Mindchamps for this meaningful opportunity. It is truly the duty of the society to inculcate responsibility and compassion to our younger generation. We at Bunny Wonderland will also do our best to support. No Bunny Gets Left Behind!

    Mindchamps @ Raffles Town Club

Past Wednesday, our volunteer, Patricia & her adopted rabbit, Darling 灰灰, journeyed to the east to visit the children at Apollo International Preschool Infant Care. Despite the gloomy morning, the children were bright and sunny to welcome them. It was indeed exciting to start the day in such wonderful company!

The children were split into groups of 3-5 to encourage an intimate session with Patricia and Darling. We started with the ‘playgroup infants’ who were super excited and gradually moved up to the ‘kindergarten children’ who were calmer and more attentive. Darling was also calmer around them and relaxed to munch on her hay.

The series of sessions were short and sweet to ensure the children remained attentive. Both teachers and children learned good information and we had a good time! We sincerely thank the teachers for this meaningful opportunity. We will do our best to spread the right message about rabbit care so please continue to support us. Thank you!
